We HAD a rooster named Fuzzy. He was named that because we raised him from a fuzzy baby. The last few months he has gotten mean and started attacking us when we are in the yard. He would run up behind you, flap his wings and throw his feet out to stab you with his spur and claw you with his feet. Today he attacked Jacob in the yard and bent his knee the wrong way. He limped the rest of the day and he told me it still hurt when he went to bed. He went to roll over at 3:00am and woke up. SCREAMING!!

His knee had swollen to twice its size, it couldn't bend, and to say it hurt was an understatement. I called my mom to come over and babysit the girls (Lu had a friend over) while I took Jake to the hospital. He couldn't walk and he cried the whole way to the hospital. I carried him in, SCREAMING again, and asked the nurse for a wheel chair. She rudely told me she didn't have one to spare and to just sit him down to sign-in. I sat him on a table so his leg would be supported and signed him in. A few minutes of crying alternated with screaming and it was his time to see the nurse. When I went to pick him up he started begging me not to move him again. The nurse was finally convinced he needed a chair and told me to wait while she found him a wheel chair. Once seated we wheeled back to the ER exam room and waited. Eventually we saw the doctor and they took x-rays, even though I was sure it wasn't broken, and gave him something for the pain. We made it back home around 6:30am and he fell into a wonderful drug induced sleep. Needless to say FUZZY IS GONE! I was going to eat him but I decided that was to much mess for just one rooster, although it would have served him right, so I gave him to a friend.
