I was having a problem with a fox or raccoon ( I've seen both out back) killing my chickens.
We have Pixie, a Jack Russel Terrier, but she seemed to be afraid to go after the killer. She is 13 years old after all. So after careful consideration, and a lot of deliberation, and Pam giving me fits... I would like to introduce you to Olivia.
She is a Great Pyrenees Puppy.
She is 6 weeks old in these pictures and as you can see a handful for Lu to hold and she will top out around 85 to 115 pounds.
Now you can call Olivia a lot of things.
Lu calls her a trash eater, she dumps the cans already.
I call her a cotton ball with teeth, she bites everyone. Andy calls her a pain, I'm working on house training. Jake calls her a digger, holes are growing everywhere in our yard. The Chickens call her scary, she chases them.
But one thing you can DEFINITELY call her is:
SPOILED
And believe it or not since we got her no chickens have been killed or disappeared so she is greatly LOVED.
