The Popes invited us to join their family at Pops in the Park on the 3rd of July. After driving around forever looking for a parking place Andy saw a shuttle bus. We followed it parked a few feet away from where it was loading and jumped on. Once we made it to Coolidge Park we called Melanie and she directed us to her family spot. We had so much fun talking and playing with glow sticks. 
There was a huge stage with music playing and people everywhere.

It was really very funny to me. Melanie and her family got to the park around 4:oopm to play, listen to the music, and watch the fireworks. The playing and music went great and we got to see the fireworks from the Lookouts ball field just fine. However, the fireworks from Pops in the Park had been moved this year and her spot was directly blocked by a tree. 
Some of them did get above the tree for us though.
