This is Emily ready to hit the ball. They get 3 pitches from a pitching machine and then if they don't hit the ball they get to hit it from the T (most of the kids have to use the T).
Jacob loves to stand at the fence and cheer. He yells go, go, go. He pitches a fit almost every game because he wants to go out and play (at least I haven't broken both of my kids yet).
She has been doing the funniest run, everyone has commented on her run. She doesn't run that way at home and she said it was the shoes, so I tried letting her play in her tennis shoes to see if that was it. It wasn't. We finally figured out that it is the helmet. It is heavy and wiggles when she runs so she looks like she is squeezing her butt cheeks together and running, and she keeps her arms straight down her body.
She seemed to be doing pretty well with the men coaches until the games. When they get on first base, the first base coach always holds out his hand for them to give him 5. Emily is the only one on the team that will not give him 5. She has also decided that she isn't going to talk to the coach and won't look at him when he is talking to her, she looks at the ground . I'm beginning to think I have done permanent damage and she needs therapy.
